Brian Gillespie is an international director and choreographer working across live events, stage, film and commercial productions. Based between London and Dubai, he leads large-scale creative projects globally, shaping performances that combine movement, storytelling and visual design.

He is the founder and creative director of B-Hybrid World, a creative studio specialising in performance direction, choreography and visual storytelling for global productions. Under this umbrella sit B-Hybrid Dance, established in 2012 as a movement company and training platform, and B-Hybrid Creatives, a consultancy providing access to leading choreographers and movement directors internationally. Together, they form an integrated creative ecosystem supporting projects across live events and screen projects.

Brian’s work is defined by a distinctive approach to movement that prioritises narrative, emotion and visual clarity. Drawing from a wide range of influences and experiences, his direction moves beyond traditional choreography to create work that feels human, cinematic and culturally resonant.

Over the 16 years, he has built an international career across theatre, television, film and large-scale live productions. In recent years, he has become a sought-after director and choreographer across the Middle East, leading major cultural events and public productions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. His work in the region has contributed to the evolution of performance within large-scale events, where evoking human emotion plays a central role in shaping audience experience.

His credits include the EXPO 2020 Dubai Closing Ceremony, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi Opening Ceremony, the EXPO Doha Opening Ceremony, and collaborations with The Walt Disney Company, Adobe and performances at Sadler's Wells. His wider work includes contributions to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, projects at The O2 Arena, and collaborations with international artists including Norah Jones.

Alongside his directing work, Brian remains committed to education and access within the arts. He has taught internationally at leading institutions including the Royal Academy of Dance, Broadway Dance Center, Pineapple Dance Studios and the University of East London. He is also the founder of IncluDancers, an initiative focused on inclusive movement practice for people of determination / with disabilities, as well as training programmes for educators, therapists and artists.
