Russel Concepcion is a Dubai-based choreographer, movement director, and live performance creative whose work bridges contemporary spectacle, immersive entertainment, and large-scale ceremonial productions across the UAE and internationally.
As a choreographer and creative collaborator, his artistic language draws from commercial movement, street styles, contemporary performance, and theatrical staging resulting in work that feels cinematic, dynamic, and deeply human. Whether creating for intimate immersive environments or stadium-scale productions, Russel approaches movement as both narrative and atmosphere: a tool for building spectacle, emotion, and connection.
Alongside choreography and direction, Russel has also worked extensively in show control, stage management, cast management, and live production operations, giving him a uniquely holistic understanding of performance-making at scale. This duality between artistry and production precision has made him a valued creative presence across multidisciplinary live events and internationally facing productions.
Throughout his career, Russel has contributed to major international productions including Expo 2020 Dubai, Emaar New Year’s Eve Celebrations at Burj Khalifa, Atlantis The Palm New Year’s Eve Celebrations, FIFA World Cup Fan Zone performances, MDLBEAST Soundstorm, ICOM 2025, and the Global Champions Arabians Tour, among others. His collaborations span world-class brands, cultural institutions, and large-scale entertainment platforms throughout the Middle East.
With over fourteen years of industry experience, Russel has developed a multidisciplinary practice rooted in movement, musicality, visual storytelling, and live audience experience. His work moves fluidly between arena ceremonies, luxury hospitality productions, theatrical cabaret, fashion-forward performance, and globally broadcast events crafting performances that are both technically refined and emotionally resonant.
